Had my first trial at tracting alone
and found it a very interesting job. We tracted from 9:00 untill 11:45. Then
returned and had dinner. At 2:30 we went down to the park and held park meeting
and again I had to talk to the checker players. This time having Practical
Religion for my subject and the traveling missionaries to listen to it. This
was one more meeting that I was glad when over with.
At 7:30 we went to the church to see what the traveling
missionaries had for us. They put on two plays, had several songs and rendered
several musical solos which was all very interesting; after which they
practiced the mutual dance and Oh; how my feet did itch for a dance, but that
didn’t help a missionary any. We then went home and hit the hay; getting in
about 12:30.
